China Bureau hosts virtual Pow Wow

The ongoing global lockdown proved no obstacle to the China Bureau’s regular networking activities as we hosted another virtual Pow Wow.

Members and supporters used Zoom to gather for the latest Pow Wow, with several attendees dialling in from China as well as the UK. The event was facilitated by our director of business initiatives, Richard Lowe.

Dianne Francombe OBE, chief executive of the Bristol & West of England China Bureau,  said: “The bureau has evolved over the years but really it’s all about establishing the connections that people in the region want to make with China, whether these are business, cultural or educational.

“And while face-to-face networking is no longer possible for the time being, using technology means we are able to connect and talk live with our friends and supporters in China itself, in cities like Guangzhou and others.

“These regular gatherings are proving more and more popular and we look forward to welcoming even more people to join our next session in May.”

The next virtual Pow Wow takes place at 9am on Thursday, 7th May, followed by the same time two weeks later, on 21st May. To join please email richard@chinabureau.co.uk
