The Global SinoPhoto Awards proudly reveals its first-ever winners
The Architectural Photography Awards was launched in September 2020 by Yintong Betser and Lynne Bryant, the creator of the Architectural Photography Awards.
After a few months' hard grind, Yintong Betser can now report that out of the 700 entries submitted by over 200 photographers from 29 countries, they have now got their winners.
The images illustrate a generational dichotomy: people racing into the future and undeniably steeped in tradition. The strength of our entries shows the different elements the medium of photography can include: observation, social commentary, interpretation and creativity. The winners were voted and assessed by a panel of reputable judges consisting of photography experts and artists.
Du Baoxian, a Chinese photographer based in Australia has become the overall winner of the inaugural Global SinoPhoto Awards and winner of the ACE UK Group Award, ‘Us, Now’ category with this image: Me. Alongside Du’s winning image are the winners of the other GSPA categories, who have each won $250.

Not only to closely connected friends from Mainland China and the UK; they also received responses from photography clubs in Victoria, Australia and Memphis, Tennessee in the USA; other photography groups in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia also enthusiastically circulated the news of the photography contest. With all these friends, old and new, they have built and will continue to build, a solid foundation for the Global SinoPhoto Awards to grow and prosper.
